Having worked in the local police for nearly twenty years, I want to work for an organisation that will simultaneously benefit from, and challenge my extensive law enforcement skills and experience.
The UN is a good choice to meet these objectives because of their insistence on high standards of professionalism and excellence. The Organisation also offers its members an opportunity to serve people rendered needy due to conflict, by rebuilding their local police, for instance. It is also a good opportunity to learn from people from different cultures from across the globe. The job further allows me to bring back home new skills to help my country. This is also a good place from which to launch my career in higher education and security consultancy.
